    I advised on life insurance, critical illness insurance, disability insurance and employee benefits (medical, dental plans) for small & large companies.

    • I used a scope of discovery questions to get a full understanding of the clients needs and provided solutions.
    • -Cultivated relationships with coworkers and guests via phone, chat and email.

    • Assisted in planning and organizing community fund development events—predominantly on the Flame of Hope Golf Tournament.
    • Provided in-kind digital and print graphic design services for the Flame of Hope golf tournament.
    • Helped to research and develop community contact lists for the purposes of acquiring auction and in‐kind gifts and developing community outreach list for program and events.
    • Provided administrative support by actively taking part in the planning and coordination of the Diabetes Canada Type 1 expo.

    • Helped to raise funds to advance type 1 diabetes research.

  • 2018National Dietitians of Canada conference

    Position—Volunteer

    • Responsible for planning and organizing a professional photoshoot at the National Dietitians of Canada conference for the Consulting Dietitians Network members.
    • -Researched and scoped out an appropriate photographer in the geographical location of the conference.
    • Project and time management.
    • Coordinated with the conference organizing committee to work out the logistics of the photoshoot.

  • 2016CDA Banting for Baubles Gala

    Position—Floater

    Overview—Baubles for Banting has raised over $430,000 to date to support the CDA's mission to lead the fight against diabetes. With over 1 million British Columbians living with diabetes or prediabetes, most of us are affected by this chronic disease, including those in the Chinese community. Through the upcoming gala, we are helping increase diabetes awareness among this community as well as celebrating the support and contribution of the Chinese Advisory Committee to the Canadian Diabetes Association over the years.

    • Event prep - gift wrapping, organizing event materials, printing materials, transporting event materials and auction items.
    • Set-up/Event/Take down - setting up auction tables and organizing auction items.

    Shop By Phone Program

    Position— Phoner, Shopper, Check-Out Co-ordinator

    Overview—Volunteers in the Shop by Phone Program assist home bound seniors and disabled adults to remain independent with assistance with their weekly grocery orders. Clients call the program's phone line where a phone volunteer writes up the order, then the shopper volunteers then shop the listed items and delivery is provided by the Safeway delivery service.

    Through the help of the Shop by Phone volunteers, clients are able to stay independent and remain in their own homes longer.

    • Shopping for grocery items.
    • Co-ordinating the checkout process, including checking the respective carts for the correct items.
